Adjusting the angle is a bit of trial and error.  15 degrees is good according to the instructions, however, it is just a starting point. Depending on what type of material you are running, you may need to adjust the angle up or down.  Please be sure to classify the material down to 1\/2\" or 1\/4\" (1\/4 inch is ideal). Once the material is classified, start up the unit. Add a hand full of material. If the material runs through too fast, that tells you the  angle is too steep. If the material runs through too slowly, then your angle is not steep enough. Once you have the right flow, you should see the material just nicely flowing over each riffle. Also keep in mind that the amount of material you are putting in at one time is important.
